FOX 9 spoke with Hennepin County Sheriff Dawanna S. Witt about Back the Blues Street Dance, a fun event celebrating law enforcement and first responders. The event will include street dancing, a barbeque competition, fireworks, and so much more. The event is open to the public and starts at 5 p.m. in Golden Valley. St. Paul backyard: the unlikely spot for concerts

The Grand Oak Opry in St. Paul is kicking off another summer of concerts. The unique venue is in a backyard in the West Seventh neighborhood set under a large oak tree. The homeowners, Sean Kershaw and Tim Hawkins love live music and wanted to find a way to support local musicians. The concert series began eight years ago. They?ve added on to their house to accommodate the concerts adding another bathroom and a green room. Though payment isn?t required they do ask for a $15 donation and 100% of the proceeds go to the band. The shows are open to anyone, not just neighbors. Juneteenth celebrations at Midtown Global Market

In February, Minnesota became the 26th state to recognize Juneteenth as a state holiday. It commemorates the day the last enslaved Americans in Texas finally learned they were free. This weekend, there's a big party planned at Midtown Global Market. The celebration is taking place Saturday, June 17. Doors open at 9:30 a.m. and the event is free to attend.

One-of-a-kind art collection on display in Shoreview

The Highlights of a massive private collection of modern and contemporary art is on display at the Cafesjian Art Trust Gallery in Shoreview. At the time of his death, Gerard Cafesjian had 3,000 pieces in his collection, including glass art designed by Pablo Picasso. The new ?Highlights? exhibit will run through Oct. 14. The gallery is free and open to the public Thursday to Saturday, but you do need to have a reservation.

Taylor Swift's Eras Tour is coming to Minneapolis later this June. The two-night show coming to U.S. Bank Stadium is sold out, but there are still plenty of tickets available for those willing to pay a high price on secondhand markets.

In Maplewood, the 8th annual Chalkfest drew crowds to see artists from around the world create colorful chalk murals on the sidewalks.

Minnesota Children's Museum: Get messy this summer

Explore emotions and mud at two new experiences inside the Minnesota Children?s Museum in St. Paul. First, "Emotions at Play with Pixar?s Inside Out" is open now in the Special Exhibits Gallery on the fourth floor of the museum. The exhibit is filled with interactive experiences to help people understand the important role emotions, memory and imagination play in our lives. The other new experience is set up in the backyard area and it?s called the Mud Zone. It contains three areas for messy fun including a mud launcher and mud pie kitchen. The museum has cleaning stations and smocks, but suggests caregivers plan ahead and bring a change of clothes for Mud Zone participants. The museum opens at 9 a.m. daily.

Edina Art Fair is this weekend

Hundreds of thousands of people are expected to check out the Edina Art Fair happening this weekend in and around 50th and France. It?s one of the top art fairs in the country with hundreds of artists participating. The Edina Art Fair starts at noon on Friday, June 2. It runs until 7 p.m. on Sunday. Saturday the art fair is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Sunday you can browse art from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Plan your trip ahead of time as traffic can be challenging and parking is limited. They do offer a shuttle from Southdale Mall.

Flint Hills Family Festival returns to St. Paul

This weekend, music and theater are in the spotlight in St. Paul as the family friendly Flint Hills Festival kicks off. There are free performances and activities in Rice Park and top notch acts playing the Ordway stage for just $5. One of the featured acts is Lightwire Theater. They combine theater and technology utilizing electroluminescent suits, music and sound effects to tell a story. They were semi-finalists on America?s Got Talent Season 7 and have been traveling the world ever since. The Lightwire Theater shows are on Saturday June 3 at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
