A driver that attempted to drive through a flooded section of road in Hastings, Minnesota Friday had to be rescued after the current began to pull their van into the Mississippi River. 

Our snow season this winter started off with a bang in late November, with several inches of the white flakes falling before we even hit December. After that, off and on snows greeted Minnesotans all the way through the middle of February.

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources has closed several parts of Fort Snelling State Park due to flooding from the spring thaw. 

On top of everything else, it is snowing in the Twin Cities metro. 

While the weather is starting to warm up some in the Twin Cities, winter weather rages on in other parts of the state.

Boating season has officially begun on Lake Minnetonka after officials declared ice out for the popular Minnesota lake at 9:48 a.m. Thursday morning.

Well, it finally happened. We finally had a March that wasn’t just an extension of winter.  The last couple of years, March was characterized by cold and snow. This year, while we did have above average moisture, thanks to our late month rains, it was a bearable four weeks that started our spring transition much earlier than the last couple of years.
