We Push For Peace held its first annual coat giveaway from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 26 at the Seven Points Mall in Uptown Minneapolis. They handed out around 250 coats of all sizes for adults and youth.

Snowfall totals from the storm vary, as areas such as Duluth (17 inches), Little Falls (13) and Baxter (11) lead the state. Most of the metro saw between 4 to 7 inches, and will see wind chills tonight in the negatives.

U.S. Postal service officials are asking for the public’s cooperation in keeping mailboxes, steps and sidewalks clear of snow and ice so its carriers are able to provide safe and efficient delivery service still.

It?s been an active weather day on highways, byways and roads throughout the Twin Cities on Tuesday as most major roads are still offering slow commutes despite continued plowing efforts. Most areas in the metro are sitting with more than four inches of fresh snow. The wind doesn?t help conditions, as its 30+ mph gusts add to the cold and reduce visibility.
