Twin Cities metro hits 50 degrees for the first time in 139 days

139 days.

That's how long it's been since the Twin Cities metro has felt the joy of 50 degree weather.

We all just might deserve a pat on the back after going through three consecutive days of subzero temperatures and record-breaking February snowfall.

The last time it was 50 degrees or above in the metro, it was Nov. 1.

Enjoy the warmth, but don't get too comfortable quite yet. The Minnesota spring can always bring some surprises. Don't forget last April when a blizzard dropped more than a foot of snow in parts of the metro.
