The National Weather Service says two tornados touched down in western Wisconsin Friday. 

Weekend storms have brought another round of significant flooding to a small city in southern Minnesota.

Friday and Saturday's storms packed a punch, bringing strong winds, hail and lightning, while leaving behind plenty of damage from the Twin Cities Metro, to central Minnesota, with the worst-hit areas in western Wisconsin.

As residents across Minnesota and western Wisconsin continue cleaning up after storm damage, another round is making its way through the region.

There are a few big weather threats Friday in parts of Minnesota and Wisconsin. 

A Tornado Watch has been put into effect for areas including Hennepin and Ramsey counties for Friday evening.

It may be mid-July, but this is Minne-snow-ta and the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport still has some snow on the ground. 

It’s that time of year. Heat is peaking across much of the Northern Hemisphere and the United States is no exception, with a heat wave expanding to much of the eastern two-thirds of the country through the weekend.

Storms rolled through portions of the state overnight, including parts of the south Twin Cities metro, bringing with it some large hail.

As the bout of severe weather continues, parts of Minnesota are under a slight risk and marginal risk of severe weather Wednesday.
