Under a new ordinance approved at Monday?s city council meeting, leaders enacted a new ordinance for owners that would require them to pass annual inspections/Maple Grove Police Department safety trainings, and pay a $200 annual fee/one-time $400 conversion fee, in order to maintain a rental property within the city after repeat violations.

Chalkfest Maple Grove returns to its original location on Main Street between Elm Creek Boulevard and Arbor Lakes Parkway. It takes place on June 8-9 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be 54 large-scale chalk art creations from some of the best chalkers in the world. There will also be a Kids Zone including a chalk art area for families, live music, and food trucks to compliment the restaurants on Main Street.
