The floor of the Xcel Energy Center is now buried in a foot of dirt for the World?s Toughest Rodeo. The event takes place Feb. 3-4. Fans can expect action, entertainment and intense competition as the cowboys work toward their mission of being crowned ProRodeo?s World Champion. There will be bull riding, saddle bronc riding and bareback riding including a women?s barrel racing showdown.

The Minneapolis Home & Remodeling show takes over U.S. Bank Stadium this weekend. There are hundreds of vendors offering up ideas and expertise for everything from windows and siding to flooring and even innovative tiny homes. The show takes place on the field and concourse. It runs Feb. 3-5.

A classic donut shop in Burnsville is back in business. The name is the same, but that?s about it. Donut Star first opened in the 70?s. Last year, new owners purchased the property and began major renovations, adding a donut-themed rock star space mural. As for the donuts, they?re taking a new approach to baking the classics. Everything is made in-house by-hand. Donut Star is open Wednesday through Sunday, 6am to 2pm. It?s located at 2901 Cliff Road E.

At the Minnesota State Fairgrounds is the snow sculpting competition, which is part of the St. Paul Winter Carnival. FOX 9's Shayne Wells takes a look at this year's big winner.

Hockey season is in full swing, and this weekend teams will play the sport the say it was intended: outside. Single-digit highs won't stop the beloved Minnesota tradition, with Hockey Day Minnesota being held in White Bear Lake with multiple outdoor games. The Minneapolis Convention Center has gone prehistoric. Jurassic Quest has moved in for the weekend. It runs January 27th through the 29th. Visitors will come face to face with the gigantic creatures that ruled that ruled the land 165 million years ago. The Lake Minnetonka Klondike Dog Derby is returning to the western Twin Cities metro in February, and this coming weekend is the event's popular cutest puppy contest at Back Channel Brewing Company in Spring Park.
