GLOW Holiday Festival opens in St. Paul
GLOW Holiday Festival is back at CHS Field in St. Paul. The outdoor, walk-through event will take guests through over a million lights, from tunnels to selfie plaza, enchanted forest a giant snowy slide and the tremendous tree. New this year, they?ve added a zipline. It is an extra cost but takes guests across center field for a birds-eye view of the event. Food and beverage stations are sprinkled throughout the festival grounds, and will be serving up holiday goodies, snacks, hot chocolate, cider, liquor, beer, and wine. GLOW will run through Dec. 31 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. nightly. There are a few evenings the event will be closed so check their online schedule before attending.

One of the Twin Cities top chefs has opened a new restaurant in a familiar space. James Beard Award winner, Ann Kim, has flipped her uptown eatery from Sooki & Mimi to Kim?s. There?s a new mural, new name, new menu and new themed basement bar called Bronto Bar. It?s an ode to things that are extinct. The Korean American restaurant menu reflects Kim?s heritage and cultural journey. It?s open seven days a week from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Bronto Bar is open Thursday through Saturday. Kim?s is located at 1432 W 3st St. in Uptown.

The production is just over an hour with no intermission ? a great "beginner" opera experience. It is sung and spoken in Spanish and English, with English and Spations captions projected above the stage. You can buy tickets, starting at $26, for the Minnesota Opera's 61st season at mnopera.org.

As soon as the Labor Day holiday weekend passes, the Bracewell-Musson family begins decorating their Victorian home for Halloween. The displays are set up from lawn to rooftop. Each year the family adds new elements, many of which are chosen by their son, Chad. The home is located on the corner of 4th Street South and Marsh Street West. Starting Nov. 1, they?ll begin switching over their d�cor for Christmas. They expect it?ll be fully ready for the holidays by Nov. 11. They?ve also started decorating for Easter. They say the reward is the reactions from kids and adults alike who get so much joy out of visiting the home.

The Fall Forward Festival showcases a different roster of professional dance artists each weekend at the Cowles Center. On Oct. 28 and Oct. 29, you can catch Ballet Folklorico Mexico Azteca, STRONGmovement and Yuki Tokuda. On the weekend of Nove. 4-5, the featured artists are Katha Dance Theatre, Shapiro & Smith Dancers and Alternative Motion Project (AMP).

Following the success of the Barbie movie, the Malibu Barbie Caf? is ready to open its bubblegum pink doors in the Mall of America. The caf? is in the former Hard Rock Caf? location on the south side of Nickelodeon Universe. It?s been completely transformed with several photo ops, a retail store, barbie displays and a small rink to roller skate in. It opens on Oct. 27 and is scheduled to remain in place through mid-January though it could stay longer. The pop-up is from Bucketlisters, a brand that creates experiences all across the U.S.. Reservations are encouraged ahead of time.
