Minneapolis City Council to vote on 2040 plan Friday

The Minneapolis City Council will vote to approve the city’s 2040 plan Friday despite a lawsuit that sought a delay of the vote.

According to a city of Minneapolis spokesperson, a judge lifted the order that would have delayed the vote, meaning the City Council can hold the vote at its Friday meeting.

The lawsuit came from an opposition group that asked the court to stop Minneapolis 2040 earlier this week, citing the lack of an environmental review of the plan.
