In ironic twist, winter weather cancels 2 St. Paul Winter Carnival events

In an ironic twist, pending winter weather in the Twin Cities metro has forced the cancelation of two St. Paul Winter Carnival events on Tuesday.

With four inches of snow predicted to fall before rush hour and winds swirling to create blizzard conditions, organizers have decided not to open the Winter Carnival Snow Slide on Tuesday night. Normal operations will resume Wednesday and continue through Saturday, Feb. 6.

Also, organizers are rescheduling the Frozen Family Fun Night Presented by Natures Fury for Thursday, Feb. 4 from 5-8 p.m. in Rice Park.
