Campaign seeks to 'Save the Curds' after State Fair stand closes

(KMSP) - Several fans and Minnesota State Fair regulars have started a Twitter campaign to "save the curds," after The Original Deep Fried Cheese Curds stand announced it has permanently closed.
#Savethecurds has gained popularity after the cheese curd stand owners, Dick and Donna Mueller, announced they're retiring after 42 years in the business.
Additionally, a petition has been signed by more than 500 people since the announcement.
Cheese curds will still be available at other stands throughout the Minnesota State Fair.
