After sunny Presidents Day, Minnesota braces for more snow

Minnesotans across the metro took this Presidents Day holiday to soak up the sun and break free from some cabin fever.

At Fort Snelling Park, some looked like they had won the lottery just for the chance to get outside.

“It’s the perfect winter day. The sky is a perfect blue - just a few clouds - and the sun, it cheers you up,” Donna Sandeen said.

“You go stir crazy if you don’t go outdoors the whole time, so you have to take advantage of these sunny days and a day off from work,” Ali added.

Sandeen said that while she was lucky enough to be in Arizona the last two weeks, she’s happy to be back enjoying the Bold North.

However, the picture-perfect weather won’t last long, as a Winter Storm Watch kicks off Tuesday night.
