F-f-frozen hot chocolate

Seredipity's infamous Frrozen Hot Chocolate creates quite a reaction - simple to make, and oh so decadent.  Easy enough to do with your kids though, I have yet to meet a kid that doesn't love hitting the power button on a blender and getting rewarded with whipped cream!

3 ounces of your favorite chocolate
1 tbsp. premade hot chocolate mix
1 1/2 tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 c. milk
3 cups ice
Whipped cream - I infuse mine with vanilla-bean paste
Chocolate shavings - I use the leftover chocolate bar

Chop the chocolate into small pieces and place it in the top of a double boiler over simmering water, stirring occasionally until melted. Add the cocoa and sugar, stirring constantly until thoroughly blended. Remove from heat and slowly add 1/2 cup of the milk and stir until smooth. Cool to warm/room temperature.

In a blender place the remaining cup of milk, the room temperature chocolate mixture, and the ice. Blend on high speed until smooth and no chunks. Pour into a giant goblet and top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings. Enjoy with a spoon or a straw. . . .or both!
