Minneapolis parade honors 3-time WNBA Champion Lynx

MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) - The 2015 WNBA Champion Lynx partied at Prince’s after a hefty Game 5 defeat of the Indiana Fever, and Friday the festivities continue along Hennepin Avenue for a victory parade and celebration at Target Center. Both events are free and open to the public.

Sections of Hennepin Avenue and Seventh Street will close for approximately 90 minutes starting at 11:30 a.m. The parade launches at 11th Street and Hennepin Avenue and will head north on Hennepin then take a left on 7th Street before finishing at Target Center.

Following the parade, a championship celebration will be held inside Target Center beginning at 12:15 p.m.
Hennepin Avenue, from Seventh Street to 13th Street, will close to traffic from 11:15 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Seventh Street will close from Hennepin Avenue to First Avenue during this same time. Cross streets will remain open during the parade.
