Karl-Anthony Towns will wear Flip Saunders' wedding ring to Draft Lottery
MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) - Karl-Anthony Towns will represent the Minnesota Timberwolves at Tuesday night’s NBA Draft Lottery, and he’s bringing a very special good luck charm with him. Towns said he will wear the late Flip Saunders' wedding ring around his neck.
Monday, Towns was named NBA Rookie of the Year – the second straight season a Timberwolves player has earned the honor (Andrew Wiggins in 2015). When asked by Fox 9’s Hobie Artigue if he was bringing a good luck charm to the Draft Lottery, Towns said, "I have one that could possibly give us the greatest luck of all time."
