The leaves are a changin' & it should be a spectacular show

It’s that time of year again, even though it may seem a little early, we are right on time for leaves to begin their fall change over into the reds, oranges, and yellows that we all love.  And it SHOULD be another spectacular year for colors.  Thanks to the often and well timed rains of the summer as well as a fairly tempered year (not too hot, not too cold) colors should be bolder and brighter than an average fall and also should last longer providing Mother Nature continues to cooperate.  Mild days and cool nights are needed with continued well timed rains.  Strong winds pulling the leaves off and/or an early freeze are really the only two ways that colors could be held back a bit.  But even IF both of those happen, it should be a pretty awesome year for color.  Here is a look at the current state of color across Minnesota and Wisconsin…
