The Minnesota State Patrol shared photos of a car covered in snow, blocking the driver's view as a reminder of what NOT to do.

According to authorities, on Feb. 14, a trooper stopped a driver on Highway 10 in Elk River. The driver said he "hoped the snow would just blow off," and was then cited for careless driving and no proof of insurance.

"Sure, maybe the snow would blow off — onto someone else’s car. Which could cause a crash. Clean off your vehicles BEFORE you hit the road," State Patrol wrote.
