Stanek declines recount in Hennepin County Sheriff race
MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) - Hennepin County Sheriff Rich Stanek will not ask for a manual election recount.
In a statement from his campaign Tuesday night, officials announced they will also not seek legal action to challenge the results.
Stanek lost to Dave Hutch by a little more than 2,300 votes. Stanek held the job for the past 12 years. Hutch is currently a Metro Transit police sergeant.
