A Twin Cities woman is raising money for her granddaughter by singing from the rooftop.

Karen Plaisted owns a Dairy Queen restaurant in St. Paul, and on Saturday, she got on the roof for a good cause. Her granddaughter, who is just over a year old, has heart abnormalities.

Edleigh, or "Eddie Bear," has survived four major heart surgeries, cardiac catheterization, countless tests and more.

Currently, Edleigh is in stable condition thanks to Boston Children's Hospital and University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital.

But, grandma Plaisted wanted to help with the funds, so she had an idea to help bring the community together.

"Through all of this journey financially we have been suffering. We have had some very generous people/family in our lives supporting as much as they can. With our daughter she cannot be in daycare and has specific needs as she continues to grow. My wife has decreased her hours at work significantly to care for Eddie. From medical bills to normal monthly bills it's been adding up," Edleigh's father wrote on the family's GoFundMe page.
