Shooting at St. Paul light rail station sends 1 to hospital

Metro Transit Police is investigating a shooting at the Dale Street light rail station in St. Paul that sent one person to the hospital.

According to a spokesman, police received reports of shots fired at the platform around 4:30 p.m.

Emergency crews took one person in unknown condition to Regions Hospital.

Due to the investigation, Metro Transit has shut down the light rail between the Green Line's Hamline and Western stations.

According to Metro Transit, the train service won't be restored until later in the evening.

Fox 9 has a crew at the scene.
