Sen. Klobuchar pushes legislation to ban 'ticket bot' scammers
ST. PAUL, Minn. (KMSP) - After many fans have had difficulty buying tickets online for a Prince Tribute show, Senator Amy Klobuchar wants to protect consumers from “ticket bot” scammers.
The Better Online Ticket Sales (BOTS) Act of 2016 would prohibit the use of ticket bots and other online measures that deliberately deceive security protocols designed to limit or restrict online ticket purchase for fans.
The bill has already passed through a senate committee.
