Picture of Minnesota preemie baby goes viral

(KMSP) - A picture that a Minnesota mother posted to a Facebook page of her preemie baby’s big smile has gone viral.
The picture was posted by Lauren Vinje on Oct. 16 to the ‘Love What Matters’ Facebook page.
Lauren says her first daughter, who was 5 days old, 3 pounds and 14 ounces at the time was “happy to be alive.” She went on to say, “This picture was one I looked at often to get me through the ups and downs of our NICU days. Life is so precious.”
Lauren also shared her story on the Birth Without Fear Blog, with an entry titled, "Oh, That Smile - From Preeclampsia to Emergency C-Section to NICU."
