Overnight robbery on University of Minnesota campus

The University of Minnesota Police are investigating an robbery that happened on campus early Saturday morning.

The University of Minnesota sent out a timely warning Friday afternoon. According to the email, the robbery happened around 2:20 a.m. in front of Wulling Hall on Pleasant Street. The woman, who is not a student, was sitting on the steps of Wulling when three men asked to use her phone. When she refused, the men took her purse and threatened her. That’s when told them she was calling the police and the men ran away on East River Parkway. The woman was not injured.

The suspects are described as black teenagers, about 17 years old, who spoke with an accent. One was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and another suspect had black curly hair and had a black and red hooded sweatshirt.
