MEIRE GROVE, Minn. (KMSP) - Neighbors in Meire Grove, Minn. are taking a new approach to get people to stop speeding on their street by posting signs in their yards asking motorists to “drive like your kids live here.”
A Minnesota State Patrol trooper working on Highway 4 spotted the one of the sign posted in the front yard of a home along the road. The homeowner thanked the trooper for her efforts to stop speeders in the neighborhood, according to a state patrol Facebook post.
The Minnesota State Patrol is using the neighborhood’s efforts to remind everyone, regardless of where they live, that slowing down could save a life.
