MORNING COMMUTE: What to expect Tuesday morning

Expect slick roads and a freezing chill.

Tuesday morning the temperature in the Twin Cities metro will start at about 17 degrees Fahrenheit with wind chills in the single digits, so be sure to bundle up.

Overnight the snow will taper off, but because the temperatures dropped so quickly there will be a thin layer of ice underneath the little bit of accumulation. That combination will cause slick roads, creating a potential headache for the morning commute.

The chilling temperatures will stick around as it's not expected to get above freezing until the end of the week.
