The city of Plymouth came together to host a fundraiser for Officer Bill Mathews' family on Saturday, calling the event Monster Mash for Mathews.

Wayzata Officer Mathews was killed earlier this summer while moving debris from the road on Highway 12, when he was hit by an impaired driver.

The Monster Mash was a harvest-festival-meets-Halloween, kids showing up at the Plymouth Station shopping center decked out in costumes while families picked pumpkins and ate food.

Money raised at the event through ticket sales and donations go directly to the Mathews Memorial Fund

Plymouth Crime and Fire Prevention Fund partnered with local businesses and restaurants to fund the activities for families and kids.

If you couldn't make it to the event, there are still ways to help support the fundraiser, online.
