A local teenager is living proof that you don't need to see the finish line to cross it.

Cretin Derham Hall senior Louie McGee competed in the full Ironman Triathlon Sunday in Louisville. But what's even more impressive, Louie is legally blind.

At five years old, doctors told his parents he would never see again.

Louie completed the challenge in 12 hours and 58 minutes. He completed the race with a guide, a 10-time Ironman finisher who was determined to get Louie across the finish line.
