Former Owl City bandmate, Minneapolis native, charged with luring teen into hotel room

A Minneapolis man and former guitarist with Owatonna, Minnesota-born band Owl City was charged with criminal sexual contact and attempting to lure a 14-year-old girl to his hotel room while they were playing in Atlantic City two years ago.

Daniel Jorgensen, 30, was charged by a grand jury in Atlantic County on Tuesday for the incident that happened in 2013.

Authorities claimed he committed criminal sexual contact on the beach and then tried to lure the girl to his hotel room and the band's tour bus to have sex.

His bail was set at $100,000 and a second-degree luring charge carries the potential for 5 to 10 years in prison.
