Community recognizes WWII vet’s 98th birthday with car parade in Bloomington, Minn.

For one veteran, this was one of his most memorable birthdays ever.

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (FOX 9) - For one veteran, this was one of his most memorable birthdays ever.

Iver J. Anderson's community rallied around him, with a salute of honor to celebrate his 98th birthday from a safe distance. Cars filled Penn Avenue to honor the World War II and Korean War veteran.

FOX 9 photojournalist Dan Helgeson documented the special ceremony on Saturday.
