Children report suspicious activity from car in Eagle Lake, Minn.

Authorities are asking people to keep an eye out for a red car after children reported suspicious activity in Eagle Lake, Minnesota.

According to the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, Wednesday a person inside the vehicle threw coins out in front of four children who were outside the Eagle Lake Firehall on Parkway Avenue.

Two of those children told police they ran into the car again Thursday morning. One said the car followed him slowly on Parkway. The other student said the vehicle stopped, the person dropped money and told him to get in the car.

The person in the car was wearing a suit and tie as well as a mask.

The car is described as a red, Toyota or Honda, four-door car with some rust on the back. The license plate may start with GHX and could be from Texas.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Eagle Lake Police Chief John Kopp at (507)257-3110.
