Body found behind home in north Minneapolis

MINNEAPOLIS (FOX 9) - Minneapolis police are launching a death investigation after a passerby found a woman's body behind a home in north Minneapolis.
John Elder, Minneapolis police spokesman, says around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, officers responded to a report of a dead body in the 3500 block of Dupont Avenue N. The woman's body was behind a residence.
Investigators are canvassing the area.
The cause of death is under investigation.
The medical examiner will identify the deceased in the coming days.
