MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) - Sprint customers can once again call 911 in Minneapolis and the metro area for emergency help after a fire at a Sprint facility temporarily disabled 911 calls.
According to Ramsey County Sheriff's Office, 911 service has been restored to all its customers.
A fire at a Sprint facility in Omaha, Neb. prevented Sprint customers in Minneapolis and the metro area from getting through to 911, according to the City of Minneapolis.
A Sprint official released the following statement, while service was being restored:
"Service is currently being restored to customers in Omaha, Minneapolis and surrounding areas. Will update when complete. Thank you for your patience."
