$1000 reward: Dog shot 6 times with pellet gun in Avon, Minn.

There is now a $1,000 reward being offered for information leading to the person who shot and injured a dog found in Avon, Minn. on Monday.

A resident found the yellow lab lying under a tree with injuries to his face and back legs. A deputy brought the dog to a veterinarian, who found the dog had been shot four times in the face and twice in the hindquarters with what is believed to be a pellet gun. Several of the shots went through the dog’s muzzle and broke his jaw.

The dog was treated for his injuries. He is currently recovering and being housed in by Stearns County while investigators attempt to locate the owner and identify the person or persons responsible for shooting him.

A $1000 reward is being offered for information leading to identify of the person or person’s responsible for the abuse of this animal.
