Minnesota hits 60 degrees on March 6
MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) - On Sunday, Minnesotans enjoyed the outdoors as the temperatures hit 60 degrees on March 6. This whole week is set to be 20 degrees above average, rounding out an already mild winter.
Generally our winter, or the trend for Minnesota, is to always have snow and some cooler temperatures in March. But Fox 9 Chief Meteorologist Ian Leonard says this is going to be a much warmer March.
"This is the winter that wasn't,” Ian says. “We had two major snow events for the entire winter and for the most part, January, February and now March look to be anywhere between 5 and 15 degrees above average."
