Starting Vikings quarterback yet to be named

Many experts and former players, like Brett Favre, are saying the Vikings offense really fits Sam Bradford's style of play. How long will it take for comfort to figure in is the question. Bradford's played with Shaun Hill before, they like each other and Hill can help with some of the language translation, but it's still a competition between Bradford and Hill.

It’s a competition that’s begun all in the midst of an emotional eight days.

“It's been like a rollercoaster, been like a rollercoaster and I hate rollercoasters, I barely can fit on them,” said Captain Munnerlyn, Vikings cornerback.

The recent ups and downs for the Vikings must quickly turn into a smooth season opener. If you want to know who is their starting quarterback is on, you'll just have to wait and see.

“I won't announce it no,” said Head Coach Mike Zimmer. “Or you can watch it on TV.”

This whole game is a competition,” said Shaun Hill. “Every practice is a competition. That’s just the nature of this whole game.”

Logic may dictate that Shaun Hill knows the offense more and could get the start, but money and draft picks talk, especially a 1st and a 4th round. That dictates soon it likely will be Bradford's team, Just how quickly is the real question.

“I mean this is their decision,” said Bradford. “You know, you really approach it the same. I mean you prepare yourself like you’re going to go out there and start on Sunday. That’s the only way you can approach it. That’s really how I’ve approached it this week.”

But don’t rule Shaun Hill out.

“I feel confident if I am getting the nod then it helps that it’s my second year in this system. It helps that I’ve played with these guys,” said Hill.

“We're just trying to win a game. We’re just trying to figure out the best way to do it. If it’s Bradford, it’s Bradford. If it’s Shaun, it’s Shaun,” said Zimmer.
