The Vikings are 3-1 after getting a 28-25 win over the New Orleans Saints last Sunday at Tottenham Hotspur in London. Greg Joseph was named the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week after making five field goals, a single-game career-high. He’s also the only kicker in the NFL this season to make five field goals in a game.
The Vikings have a chance to start 4-1, and 3-0 in the NFC North Division, with a win over the Bears. It can be argued that through four games, the Vikings have played far from their best football. Ugly or not, they’ve found a way to win games, whether it be from behind like against the Lions in Week 3, or having a lead, losing it and then leaning on Joseph late against the Saints.
The Vikings will be without rookie cornerback Andrew Booth Jr. for the fifth straight game. He returned to practice this week after dealing with a quad injury, but isn't ready for game action yet. Jalen Nailor appeared on the injury report this week with a hamstring injury, and is also inactive, so the Vikings will turn elsewhere for punt return duties.
