This is the mess of Minnesota Capitol construction

The Minnesota State Capitol is a mess right now. It will be an even bigger mess next year, which is why there's suddenly talk about the possibility of not having a session in 2016.

Currently, two-thirds of the Capitol is closed off to the public and lawmakers because of the ongoing construction and renovation. This includes bathrooms -- there are a series of "Biffs" set up outside the Capitol building. Additionally, stairwells are closed off and there are only two elevators for the entire building.
