The usual first fall freeze is not far away

Even though we have been really warm over the last week or so, we aren’t far off from freeze season.  A couple spots in northeast Minnesota have already managed to record their first freeze.  And while the first one for the metro, or the rest of the state for that matter, isn’t on the 7 day forecast yet, it’s likely not far away.  The first fall freeze in the metro is usually sometime in the first few days of October… and if anyone is doing the math is just 2 short weeks away.  Much of northern Minnesota should have already seen their first freeze by then with much of southern Minnesota falling closely behind.  Now this doesn’t mean we can get to Halloween without a freeze, we did it just last year, but we aren’t far off from the typically chilly mornings, so get ready.
