Police: 20 cars damaged in northeast Minneapolis vandalism spree

Police say 20 cars  were damaged over Memorial Day weekend in and near the Logan Park neighborhood in northeast Minneapolis.

Between May 27 and 28, more than a dozen drivers reported some of their windows were smashed out. Police believe some of the incidents involved a BB gun or pellet gun.

"At this point we do not know for sure that all of the damage caused to the vehicles was from a pellet gun, but it is likely a common factor," Minneapolis Police Department spokesperson John Elder said.

Crime prevention specialists sent a Crime Advisory to all northeast Minneapolis residents explaining the incidents, urging people to call 911 or Crime Stoppers if they have any information.
