PET ALERT: Drugged treats found in Elko New Market neighborhood

The Scott County Sheriff's Office is asking pet owners to stay vigilant after hot dog pieces and beef sticks loaded with ibuprofen were found near Elko New Market.

Ibuprofen, if swallowed, can be deadly to dogs and other pets.

A person found the spiked treats near Cedric Lane and Harvest Drive, which is on the border of the City of Elko New Market and New Market Township.

Officers searched and cleaned up the area.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Scott County Sheriff's Office.
