MPD Chief asks MPD union president to not wear uniform in interviews

Minneapolis Police Chief has asked the president of the Minneapolis Police union to not wear his police uniform when speaking on behalf of the union.

Minneapolis Police Department released a statement on Monday:

“Chief has had communications with Bob Kroll. The content of that is  private personal data.”

This comes in the wake of a controversy when four off-duty Minneapolis police officers walked off the job of a Lynx game because of the pregame shirts the players were wearing.
