Family: John Lundahl dies of injuries sustained in St. Paul home explosion

ST. PAUL, Minn. (FOX 9) - Weeks after his St. Paul home exploded, 80-year-old John Lundahl has died of his injuries, family announced Wednesday.

According to the family's GoFundMe page, Lundahl passed away Tuesday night at the hospital. 

After the Nov. 23 explosion, crews found Lundahl crawling out of the rubble of his home on the 600 block of Payne Avenue. Family members said he suffered a broken pelvis, damage to his spine and several burns.

Family and friends describe Lundahl as a dedicated "DIY" guy.

According to family, Lundahl's pets were rescued and are being cared for.
