Chipotle closed through lunch hours for food safety meetings

Chipotle stores across the country will be closed Monday, Feb. 8 until 3 p.m. to allow all workers to attend food safety meetings. Chipotle expects about 50,000 employees to go to more than 400 locations to hear live remarks by company executives.

Chipotle sales have plunged 36 percent after E. coli and salmonella outbreaks at its restaurants.
