Today start a very quiet stretch of weather with temps above average.

It sure doesn't feel like December in Minnesota. But, the warmer weather will continue for the week ahead.

Highs Tuesday will hit the upper 20s, but more change is afoot as another warming trend moves into the area Wednesday.

A cold front heading through the state will drop temperatures tonight and keep things cool Tuesday. But, as the cold front sweeps through, it'll kick out the clouds causing temperatures to rise Wednesday. After Wednesday the week will be warm again, with temperatures in the 40s.

The sun may peak through the clouds later Monday afternoon, but by Tuesday a cold front will move through the state causing the clouds to dissipate. Man made snow on ski hills made for some snow showers in the west metro, all the way to the MSP airport.

Local ski hills that are making snow are actually producing snow showers downwind of the hills Monday morning. This is leading to coatings of snow several miles from the hills themselves. The perfect conditions are needed for this including light winds, temps ~20�, & high relative humidity.

Tuesday will be sunnier but a cold front will drop highs to the 20s.

After Saturday's snow, a much quieter day with clouds and temps around freezing. Sunnier on Monday with highs in the mid-30s.

It will be a blustery Saturday with snow showers and a high of 36 degrees in the Twin Cities metro.

Another day of warm temperatures on Friday before a blustery Saturday. Friday will feature another day of near-record warmth, but it'll be breezy with extra clouds. The high will be around 49 degrees (the record is 50 degrees).

Breezier and cloudier than Thursday with a high in the mid-40s.

Open a window ? some record-high temperatures are possible on Thursday and Friday. Thursday will feature a light southern breeze and plenty of sunshine, with high temperatures in the mid-50s. The high in the Twin Cities will be around 53 degrees, though pocket 60s will be possible in southwestern Minnesota. It'll be cooler in northern Minnesota, with highs mostly in the 40s. Overnight lows will stay above the freezing mark across the state.

Highs today could hit 53 degrees with 60s possible in Southern Minnesota. The warmth sticks around Friday with highs near 50.
