A shooting left one man dead and a juvenile seriously injured in South St. Paul, according to police.
Roads are rough Thursday morning thanks to some overnight snow, causing plenty of spin outs and crash during the morning commute.
Dustin Bilderback was sentenced Tuesday in Dakota County District Court to 20 years in prison for shooting two South St. Paul police officers in 2018. Bildenback was sentenced for two counts of first-degree attempted murder. The 20-year sentence is the maximum allowed under the Minnesota Sentencing Guidelines.
The law enforcement community is mourning two police officers in the Twin Cities metro who died while off-duty this week.
A 34-year-old South St. Paul man pled guilty Monday to two counts of attempted murder of two police officers in July 2018.
World War II veterans were honored in a ceremony at the Waverly Gardens Senior Center, which is home to nearly two dozen of these special veterans. More than 20 men and women who once signed their names to the war effort signed once more to the memories. In this case, it was on the wings of a model plane built to replicate the B-25 bomber, Miss Mitchell.
UPDATE: Police announced they safely located the 11-year-old girl Sunday. The investigation is ongoing.
