Animal Humane Society

The Animal Humane Society will be temporarily closing all of its sites to the public until May 2 due to the concerns regarding the novel coronavirus pandemic.

Thirty dogs, mostly Chihuahuas, arrived in Minnesota Monday morning after a 4,000-mile journey that started in California’s Central Valley. 

A Chihuahua caravan from California is making the long trip to Minnesota. The van full of rescue pups will arrive Monday morning and be ready for adoption by mid-week.

The former CEO and Chairman of Toro, Ken Melrose, was the record-breaking donor. The money will go toward construction of a new adoption and animal care campus in St. Paul.

One Minnesota woman is elated after she’s reunited with her dog who was missing for 17 months. 

A dog that was found in rough condition in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, and later made a full, healthy recovery was included on the list of the "most dramatic animal transformations" in 2019, compiled by the Animal Humane Society.
