A 19-year-old woman from Le Sueur County was crowned Wednesday as the 69th Princess Kay of the Milky Way.

A threat assessment conducted on the Minnesota State Fair came back "extremely low," the state's top law enforcement official said, just ahead of the fair's opening.

There is no shortage of events this week, especially with all the new offerings at the Minnesota State Fair.

The Minnesota State Fair has requested the Ramsey County Sheriff's Office for help with security at the Great Minnesota Get-Together this year, as the police department is 100 officers short.
