The Minneapolis Police Department on Friday released body-camera footage from the mass shooting that left Officer Jamal Mitchell dead, as well as a police shooting on June 12.

He donned his uniform proudly and took great pride in the oath he gave, Weatherspoon said. "Mitch is the hero the City of Minneapolis needed ... We must continue the legacy that he designed," Weatherspoon said. "We must continue Mitch's legacy of community engagement."
