The University of Minnesota says it is tightening security at upcoming Gopher football games to increase the safety of attendees following the recent terrorist attacks in Paris.

Only clear bags will be allowed inside the stadium, similar to the policy in place for Minnesota Vikings games. Staff will be provided clear bags for any attendees that need to transfer their things. There will also be a bag check at Williams Arena lobby that will open at 9:30 a.m. and close one hour after the game.

The enhanced security measures will be in place for Saturday’s game against the University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign and the Saturday, Nov. 28 game against the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

The university is encouraging fans to arrive to the stadium early to avoid delays.
