Minneapolis, St. Paul schools close for Wednesday snow

Ahead of Wednesday's snow storm, some school districts are already announcing closures.

Minneapolis Public Schools and St. Paul Public Schools both announced all classes, activities and programs will be canceled on Wednesday.

"Due to high level of confidence in the forecast and the predicted snowfall rate of an inch per hour during the morning commute," read a tweet from MPS. "This predicted heavy snowfall makes travel hazardous for buses and cars."

The Twin Cities could get six to nine inches of snow on Wednesday.
